Beginning Band

Beginning Band is a McParland student's first venture into the world of musical instruments. Open to students in 5th grade, they will meet once a week for 60 minutes in different groups of instruments. This program is a year-long commitment, starting approximately one month into the school year. The focus of Beginning Band is to learn how to assemble, maintain, and produce a good sound on their instrument. Students are required to have their own instrument and book. George McParland does offer school instruments to be borrowed; however, inventory is limited.
